Western Underwood 10th May 2009

Sorry it has taken me a little time to fill in the write up but better late than never. As you can see from the pictures the 10th May 2009 was a lovely day so Richard, GT, John and myself made the perilous journey up the west side of Luton Controlled Airspace to Leighton Buzzard then over the lakes of Milton Keynes finally landing at Western Underwood near Olney. The event hosted by the Northhampton Microlight Club began on the Friday and finished on the Sunday and included games for all to join in on the ground and up in the air. As it was my wifes birthday on the Friday I decided that Saturday would be a recovery day before taking to the air on Sunday otherwise I would have stayed over at the event. Food and drink was readily available with a warm welcome so a worth while fly-in to add to your list. I believe they have another weekend fly-in due in September so check the Club's website for details. Another couple of weekends time is the BMAA's biggest fly-in of the year Spamfield at Sandown Airfield on the Isle of Wight so get your aircraft ready and we will see you there!!
