1. Fly Ins And Outs

Steve and GT fly to Stoke(Medway) Sunday 22nd March 2009

While some of the Exodus & Barnet Flying Club flew to Old Buckingham, GT and myself decided that Stoke(Medway) Airfield would be our final destination. The flight there was enjoyable, the visibility was the best for some time and as we approached the Thames just East of the Dartford crossing the skies cleared. The views across the Thames and out to the Thames Estuary make you appreciate what flexwing microlighting is all about. A landing at Stoke is always interesting as the circuit pattern is above the water and mud flats. After a chat, a cup of coffee and a sausage sandwich GT and myself returned home to Plaistows with the Stoke "Come and Get Me" Cup. The Cup was in the Exodus & Barnet Club House but now has been picked up. The trip back was a bit lumpy so a quick pint and a rest in the Three Hammers was called for before the journey home, a nice finish to a good days flying (1 hour 5 mins to Stoke and 1 hour 55 mins back).
